Chris Zonta Mosaics - NEWS 2007-2008

"Take Me to the New World," (a mosaic shoe) is being featured in Lori's Designer Shoes store in Highland Park as part of the Highland Park Art Walk. "Eternal Dance" is the featured artwork on the cover of FOOTLIGHTS magazine which is the Playbill for over 50 theatre, musical and dance companies in the Chicago area. Cover runs March-May, 2008.

Beyond the Surface: Contemporary Mosaics, opens Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the SXU Gallery at Saint Xavier University, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago, featuring selected mosaic pieces by artist, Chris Zonta.

The exhibit, which runs through Nov. 20, will display Zonta’s handcrafted mosaics. Incorporating materials such as glass, beads, rocks and other found objects, she compares the design process to the childhood emotion of wonder.
